Leela Schauble “Subsequence Landscape”

KOTARO NUKAGA is pleased to present Subsequence Landscape, the first solo exhibition in Japan by Melbourne-based artist Leela Schauble.

Schauble meditates on themes of ecology and human-induced climate change, and the works exhibited at the gallery were inspired and originated from two of her expeditions: an artist residency in the Arctic Circle, and an artist immersion program in the Amazon rainforest.

Through photography and video installation, Schauble’s works engage viewers to be conscious of the environment and to seek a way to reconnect with nature.
